More about the job:

Angus Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice and support to local people.  We are a friendly and welcoming team made up of around 18 paid staff and around 35 volunteers that offer generalist advice to clients alongside more specific projects. The Patient Advice and Support Service (PASS) is one of our national projects, formed as part of the Patient Rights (Scotland) Act 2011. PASS provides support to clients to give feedback, comments, raise concerns or make complaints about NHS care and/or treatment in Scotland. The Patient Adviser will have a caseload of Angus clients but will also participate in the PASS national telephone helpline and provide support by e-mail.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good listening skills when listening to the concerns of clients, and support them through the processes of giving feedback or raising a concern. They will establish good working relationships with appropriate persons in the Tayside health board and across other statutory and voluntary organisations.

You will be based in our office in Arbroath, but there may be the need to travel to our Forfar and Montrose offices, or wider across Angus to support people in partner locations. We are currently operating a hybrid model of working so it will be possible to work from home alongside the office and partner locations. This role is currently funded to 31st March 2026. Please note that the job description for PASS is currently under review, and the successful candidate will be consulted on any changes to the job description as soon as they are available.
